Special pozzolanic cement
Portland Cement Special Pozzolani: Compliant with EN 197-1
Pozzolans are silica or silica-aluminum materials that, as a supplement to ordinary Portland cement, are effective in increasing the adhesion of concrete. These materials do not normally react with water.
But in the presence of lime or cement, they create a chemical reaction and increase the strength and durability of concrete in the long run.
Advantages and specifications of special pozzolanic cement:
Very good resistance to harmful chemicals such as chlorine, sulfates and alkalis.
Higher ultimate resistance.
Better penetration and usability for vibration.
Concreting with this type of cement in cold weather and ambient temperature less than 5 ° C is not recommended.
Protection of materials and reinforcement inside concrete against the penetration of corrosive substances.
Extraction of alkaline solutes from concrete.
Less expansion and usable in bulk concreting.
Less hydration heat in bulk concreting.
Concrete composed of pozzolanic cement does not crack due to better permeability of the pozzolan and its flow.
Prevention of alkaline reaction of silica in concrete aggregates, especially in dam construction.
Conservation of natural resources due to reduced consumption of fuel and cement raw materials.
Reduce air pollution due to replacement of clinker and reduce fossil fuel consumption.
Reduction of electricity consumption due to wear assistance in cement mills.
